Hong Kong

October 7 Well we made it to Hong Kong - the flight on Air China was great.  Leaving Beijing was a bit scary - we were unsure where to go after customs... wound up in the wrong line twice but finally figured out where we needed to be!  We got in to find the Deveraux's (another family from our group who we were meeting at the airport) flight was delayed.  We did some checking around and found out it was REALLY delayed so we headed to the hotel and were met in the lobby by Jenny and Steve Evoy.  Steve had lived in Hong Kong a while back so it was great to have someone who knew how to get around.  We walked to the YMCA for dinner and then came back along the harbor it was beautiful!!!!!  Tomorrow the rest of our group gets in at 9ish- we can't wait to meet them!

October 8 Today is our 5 year anniversary- it is hard to believe it has been that long!

Well we met all the other families- they all seem really nice.  CCAI suggested taking a tour especially for the families just arriving to help them get on China time and not go to the room and sleep-- we decided to do that as well.   We started with Dim Sum lunch, then went to Victory Peak The view of Hong Kong from there was amazing.  We then went to the Aberdeen Fishing Village, a jewelry market and the Stanley market.  Hong Kong is SO different from Beijing; to us it almost felt more like New York City than China.  Once we got back to the hotel we decided to go for dinner at the Hard Rock with the Evoy's and Deveraux's.  We then came back again by walking along the harbor- all the vendors and people along the harbor made me think of San Francisco-- every one wanted to take your picture.  Sean and I think we should start doing that in Memphis -- pictures with the bridge in the background to finance the next adoption.  Well I am going to try and download some photos and then must pack up because tomorrow we leave to go to Heifi!  Just think tomorrow we will be in the same province as our lil angel-

Please keep us in your prayers as Sean and I are both feeling a bit under the weather- Sean with a cold and me with stomach issues—now is no time for this nonsense!

Thanks for the emails from home we have enjoyed getting them - we are checking the angelhrt67@yahoo.com or bigreda320@yahoo.com accounts

Hugs to all
